About the Author

Nicole Croft is a children’s book author based on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Nicole spent more than twenty years in Calgary, Alberta. There, she owned and operated a family childcare business for fifteen years. During this time, she also raised her five sons. Nicole then returned to the Island to continue her work at the intersection of learning, care, and community.

She holds a Diploma in Early Learning and Childcare (2011). She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (2019). Additionally, she earned a Master’s degree in Learning and Technology from Royal Roads University (2024). Professionally, Nicole works in the social impact sector. She supports the development of data-informed tools. These tools address complex community challenges such as homelessness, addictions, and community safety.

Her writing is informed by lived experience and academic study. She deeply believes in the power of stories. Stories support connection, empathy, and belonging.
